Radiation dosimetry is offered by a number of companies in the US. They are all accredited by the National Institute of Standards and Technology through the NVLAP program. At the end of the day, no matter what dosimeter is used, they all meet the minimum requirements. In the eyes of State and Federal regulatory agencies, there is no difference between accredited dosimeter vendors.
But there are big differences to you! Price and service are the most visible differences. Less obvious is the type of dosimeter used, which can have a significant impact on the reported dose. Our price, products, and services are far superior to what has come to be the “industry standard”.
We offer high quality professional services normally reserved by big vendors for their large clients. As you are aware, one call to customer service can exceed the cost of your entire annual bill in lost time! You need to know that if you call or email, we will FIX the problem as soon as possible. No second calls or emails required. We have Certified Health Physicsts who can advise you about your badge service, and look at the data that comprised your dosimeter results. When you have a technical question about your badge or results, you can contact a HEALTH PHYSICIST, not just someone in sales. We are a full service dosimetry company. If your employees are receiving internal radiation dose, our Certified Health Physicists can assess that for you too.
Our online system allows you to make changes to your account whenever you want. If you are up in the middle of the night and need to make a change, go for it!
We offer the Panasonic Model 802 dosimeter. This is the most tissue equivalent dosimeter on the market today. This means, the instrument used to measure dose responds just like human tissue. (We are, after all, measuring YOUR radiation dose). Most vendors don’t offer this dosimeter to their clients. We are a small company with low overhead, and we can afford to provide you with the best dosimeter available without having to appease shareholders and Wall Street Fund managers. (We do just fine thank you.)
